Head Athletic Trainer: Mandy Kiger
Mandy Kiger is entering her sixth year at Louisburg College and
her fifth year as the Head Athletic Trainer. Mandy
graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2005
with a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary
Rehabilitation. She also received her Master’s degree
in Athletic Training in 2007 from UTC. Mandy has been a
certified Athletic Trainer with the BOC since 2007. In June
of 2011, Mandy was awarded Head Athletic Trainer of the Year Award
for NJCAA/Community College by the College/University Athletic
Trainers' Committee.
Mandy's responsibilities is to oversee the entire Athletic Training program and specifically covers Varsity Men’s and Women’s soccer, JV Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Varsity Men’s Basketball, JV Men’s Basketball, Softball, Golf and Cheerleading. She also handles insurance claims for the athletics department and also assists with the SOAR events. Outside of the training room, Mandy also teaches Fitness/Wellness, Health, and Injuries, First Aid, and CPR. She is a certified instructor in CPR and First Aid through the American Red Cross. She comes to Louisburg from Chattanooga, TN. Mandy was married in June of 2011 to Brett Kiger. Mandy and Brett reside in Louisburg, with their two pet cats, Gizmo and Snickers.
