Hurricanes End History Making Season

The Hurricanes Baseball team ended their history making season this evening at the Region X Tournament.  Earlier today, the #2 'Canes defeated #4 USC Lancaster 5-2, advancing them one game closer to the Championship.  In this evenings match-up, the #2 'Canes battled #5 USC Sumter.  The Fire Ants came out strong going up 4-0 in the first inning.  Unable to stop the momentum, the Hurricanes were defeated 6-13.

It was a disappointing end to an outstanding season for the LC Baseball team, but what they accomplished this season will go down in Louisburg College baseball history.  Under the leadership of first year Head Coach Mike McGuire, the Hurricanes finished the season with a 52-9 season record giving them one more win than the previous record of 51-11 held by the 2002 team.

Congratulations to the Hurricanes!
