Louisburg football had their hands full with Hocking College on Saturday, but came out of top by a score of 52-40.
The Canes put on a show for the packed house; their offense totaling 597 yards, while the defense generated 8 turnovers in the win.
Sophomore Mike Sherman put Louisburg on the board first with a 4-yard touchdown run to cap a 6-play, 62-yard drive. Sherman scored again from one yard out while fellow sophomore Farrell Murchison added two scores of his own.
The Hurricanes' rushing attack could not be stopped, accounting for 4 of the 6 total touchdowns on the day, while tallying 242 total rushing yards. Sophomore quarterback, Terrance Ervin put his arm on display going 24-39 with 355 yards passing and 1 touchdown.
The Canes will be back in action on Saturday, November 5th as they travel to Lynchburg, VA to face the Dragons of Virginia University of Lynchburg in their final game of the 2016 season.
