Trisha Stafford-Odom, Head Women's Basketball Coach at NCCU, has announced the addition of current Hurricane Shontai Totten to the Eagles' 2018-19 recruiting class.
Totten is a 5-6 guard from Northwood High School in Pittsboro, North Carolina, who is transferring to NCCU from Louisburg College. The daughter of Amy and Shawn Totten averaged 17.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest this past season at Louisburg under Head Coach Shay Hayes. As a four-year starter at Northwood High School, Totten collected 1,308 points (15.2 points per game) and 318 assists (3.9 assists per game), earning all-conference and all-district recognition in each of her last three campaigns. She helped lead the Chargers to the 2013 conference tournament championship.
