Head Coach Andy Stokes, a native of England, joined the Louisburg coaching staff in 2009. With over 17 years coaching experience, five at the collegiate level, Stokes has worked as a staff coach for CASL (Capital Area Soccer League) Goldstar / Carolina Soccer Club and the FVAA (Fuquay-Varina Athletic Association).
Achieving a variety of successes at the youth level, Stokes got a great taste of collegiate success in 2012 as he led the Hurricanes to the NJCAA National Championship tournament in Melbourne, Florida where they were among the final twelve teams playing in the NJCAA. The trip to the 2012 tournament was the first ever for the Lady 'Canes. LC finished the season ranked #17 in the NJCAA Top 20, just behind 2011's #13.
In 2012, the Hurricanes also won a Region X Tournament championship and a District L championship. Stokes also mentored Jessica Scales who is a 2012 All-American who led the NJCAA in goals scored. In addition to Scales award, Coach Stokes has helped 16 players achieve All-Region honors.
Stokes has also shared his knowledge with fellow coaches having helped design the US Virgin Islands Youth Development Program and conducting coaching education courses for Northern Soccer Club in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Stokes playing experience includes having attended the Football School of Southampton FC, playing youth club, varsity and college he continued to play at various levels before focusing his attention on coaching.
Stokes holds coaching licenses from both the USSF and the NSCAA.
A graduate of Reading College of Technology, Stokes currently resides in Raleigh, NC.
