LOUISBURG, NC – The Louisburg College volleyball team closed out the 2012 regular season with a 3-0 home win over Brunswick CC (25-17, 25-13, 25-8) Friday night.

Sophomores, Emily Kennington (Jefferson, SC) and Jazmin Pinner (Ashville, NC) led the way as Kennington had 27 assists and three aces while Pinner had four kills, three aces and two blocks.

Middle blocker, Ashley Britton (Henrico, NC) had a good night at the net as she led the 'Canes with eight kills, while libero, Kristen Shuford (Nashville, NC) led the defensive effort with 17 digs in the conference win.

The Hurricanes finish with a record of 11-10 and will be the sixth seed in next week's Region X Tournament, hosted by Brunswick CC. Game times are still to be announced.
