#15 Football Dropped by #5 Nassau

UNIONDALE, NY – The #15 Louisburg College football team ran into a tough #5 Nassau CC, Saturday afternoon, and lost 45-6 in Northeast Football Conference action.

LC's only score came in the first quarter as Hurricanes' quarterback, Madison Mills (Winston Salem, NC) hooked up with John Wheatley (New Bern, NC) on an eight yard pass play. In total, Louisburg gained 199 yards of offense but gave up 488 yards to NCC in the conference loss.

Kicker/punter, Ryan Samuels (Fredricksburg, VA) was busy as he recorded nine punts, with a long of 56 yards and an average of 43.4 yards per kick.

Stephen Williams (Reidsville, NC) led the defensive unit as he had nine solo tackles which was just ahead of Patrick McElveen (Greenville, SC) who had seven solos and a pair of assists. McElveen made the big plays all game long as all seven solo tackles were for NCC losses, including 2.5 sacks for 13 yards of loss.

The 6-2, 3-2 NEFC, Hurricanes will close out their 2012 season with a home game, next Saturday, where they will host #6 ASA College. Kickoff in the Northeast Football Conference game is scheduled for noon at Old Franklinton High School.
