#1 Hurricane Men Bounce Back
LOUISBURG, NC – After suffering their only loss of the season on Thursday, the Hurricanes men's basketball team responded with 108-73 thrashing of Sandhills CC, Saturday afternoon, improving their overall record to 21-1.
The Hurricanes made 13 total three pointers in the nonconference win with Micah Parker (Woodbridge, VA/Hylton HS) leading the way as he scored 21 total points, many of which came from beyond the arc. The sophomore guard was the hot hand in the second half where he scored 19 of his 21 points and the 'Canes outscored the Flyers 54-33.
Paul Stone (Danville, VA/Dan River HS) finished up just behind Parker as Stone dropped 20 points while Antonio Robinson (Winston Salem, NC/Parkland HS) just missed a triple-double as he helped out with nine points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
The Hurricanes will play another nonconference game on Tuesday when they travel to Greensboro to take on Greensboro College's junior varsity squad. Opening whistle is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
