HICKORY, NC — The top seeded Hurricanes men's basketball team opened up play at the 2013 Region X Tournament with a, 101-57, win over Guilford Tech CC, Friday afternoon.

With the quarterfinal win the 'Canes advance to play #4 seeded Catawba Valley CC, Saturday at 3:00 pm. LC took the two regular season games 86-60 and 96-90.

The winner will advance to Sunday's Region X Tournament championship game.
