HICKORY, NC — The top seeded Hurricanes men's basketball team advanced to the Region X Tournament championship game with a, 93-78, win over Catawba Valley CC, Saturday afternoon.

Kevin Williams (Franklinton, NC/Franklinton HS) led the way in the semifinal win as he scored 24 total points, which was just ahead of Micah Parker's (Woodbridge, VA/Hylton HS) 19. Antonio Robinson (Winston Salem, NC/Parkland HS) was the final 'Cane to score in double-digits as he helped out with 16 points.

With the semifinal win the 'Canes advance to play #2 seeded Wake Tech CC, Sunday at 2:00 pm. The Eagles were the only team to defeat (75-73) the 31-1 Hurricanes, but LC won the last match up, 91-68.

The winner of tomorrow's game will advance to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament in Danville, IL.
