LOUISBURG, NC — The Louisburg College men's soccer team hosted Cape Fear CC for a Region X match at May Field, Wednesday afternoon, which went to overtime and ended in a 1-1 tie.

Sophomore midfielder Hassan Kouyateh (Greensboro, NC/Page HS) scored the Canes only goal which came in the 43rd minute of the first half. Justin Burrell (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS) picked up the assist on the Kouyateh marker.

Although the Hurricanes outshot the Sea Devils 13-6, the game ended in a tie as CFCC tied things up with four minutes remaining in regulation and neither team could find the back of the net in the two overtime periods.  

The 3-6-1, 3-4-1 in Region X, Hurricanes will return to action on Sunday when they travel to #11 Spartanburg Methodist College. Opening kick, in Spartanburg, SC , is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
