SPARTANBURG, SC — The Louisburg College men's soccer team earned a 3-0 shutout over #11 Spartanburg Methodist College, Sunday afternoon, in a road Region X game.

Ramzey Hassen (Reston, VA/Gar-Field HS) and Adrian Gonzales (Fuquay Varina, NC/Fuquay Varina HS) both scored unassisted goals in the first half, while high school teammates Nikolai Hammer (Clearwater, FL/Countryside HS) and Zach Shriver (Clearwater, FL/Countryside HS) hooked up on the Canes final goal with Hammer knocking home the Shriver pass.   

Louisburg outshot SMC 13-7 and LC keeper Brian Howard (Roanoke Rapids, NC/ Roanoke Rapids HS) earned the shutout making four saves.

The 4-6-1, 4-4-1 in Region X, Hurricanes will again hit the road on Wednesday when they play a conference game at Patrick Henry CC. Opening kick is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
