Canes Advance to Regional Semifinal

LOUISBURG, NC — The Louisburg College men's soccer team advance to the Region X Tournament semifinal with a 12-0 win over USC Lancaster, Tuesday afternoon.

 

Seven different Hurricanes found the back of the net with Eduardo Alvarez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras/Golden HS) getting things started as he picked up the team's first two goals. Nikolai Hammer (Clearwater, FL/Countryside HS) and Bakawasu Kinteh (Duluth, GA/Lambert HS) each scored three times, with Hammer assisting on two other goals, while Kinteh picked up one helper.

 

Justin Burrell (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS), Adrian Gonzales (Fuquay Varina, NC/Fuquay Varina HS), Ramzey Hassen (Reston, VA/Gar-Field HS) and Andreas Chrysostomou (Como, NC/Ridgecroft HS) were the other goal scorers for Louisburg.

 

The Hurricanes advance to Saturday's semifinal where they will take on the winner of Cape Fear CC and USC Salkehatchie who play tomorrow afternoon. The regional semifinal will be played at 3:00 pm in Lancaster, SC.
