Canes to Face SMC in Region X Final

LANCASTER, SC — The Louisburg College men's soccer team moves on to face Spartanburg Methodist College in tomorrow's Region X championship game as they knocked off USC Salkehatchie, 8-1, in a semifinal match, Saturday afternoon.

 

LC forward, Nikolai Hammer (Clearwater, FL/Countryside HS) got the Canes on the board as he scored on a goal set up by Adrian Gonzales (Fuquay Varina, NC/Fuquay Varina HS). The goal was Hammer's first of four in the semifinal matchup.

 

Eduardo Alvarez (Tegucigalpa, Honduras/Golden HS), Justin Burrell (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run HS), Bakawasu Kinteh (Duluth, GA/Lambert HS) and Zevon Wells (St. Petersburg, FL/St. Petersburg Senior HS) all scored for LC with Kinteh assisting on two other goals while Alvarez assisted on another.

 

The Hurricanes advance to Sunday's championship final that is scheduled to be played at 2:00 pm in Lancaster, SC.
