ROCK HILL, SC – The #9 Louisburg College women's basketball team earned a nonconference win Saturday afternoon as they easily handled Clinton Junior College, 92-45, in Rock Hill. LC outscored the Lady Bears 41-21 in the opening half then stepped things up in the second period with LC scoring 51 points to CJC's 24.

Louisburg guard, Olivia Gaines (Chester, SC/Chester HS) led all scorers with 20 points which was just ahead of Latrice Phelps (Virginia Beach, VA/Tallwood HS) who just missed a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Tiffany Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Prep Charter) and Jazmine Parker (Burlington, NC/Oak Ridge Military) also hit for double-digits in the nonconference win as they each helped out with 13 points.

The 23-2 Hurricanes will bounce back with another game tomorrow as they head to Lenoir CC for a Region X contest at 3:00 pm.
