LENOIR, NC – The #9 Louisburg College women's basketball team earned their second win in as many days as the defeated Lenoir CC, 65-57, in Region X play Sunday afternoon. The Lady 'Canes took a ten point lead into the break (39-28) which was good enough for the win as they were outscored (29-27) in the second half.

Louisburg guard, Olivia Gaines (Chester, SC/Chester HS) is leading the team with over 18 points per game, but she stepped things up on Sunday as she dropped 28 in the conference win. The sophomore also earned a double-double as she led the way with 13 rebounds.

Justin Taylor (Gastonia, NC/Ashbrook HS) was next on the score sheet as she helped out with nine points, which was just ahead of Alisha Baines (Wilson, NC/Fike HS) and Jazmine Parker (Burlington, NC/Oak Ridge Military) who scored eight apiece.

The 24-2, 11-1 in Region X, Hurricanes will play their final road game of the season on Wednesday when they travel to Raleigh to take on Wake Tech CC. Opening tip in the Region X contest is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
