LOUISBURG, NC – The #8 Louisburg College women's basketball team finished their regular season with a 78-75 loss to #4 Catawba Valley CC, Saturday afternoon. The 'Canes finish the regular season with an overall record of 25-3, 12-2 in Region X, and will be the #2 seed at next weekend's regional championship tournament in Martinsville, VA.

Five Hurricanes hit for double-digits with Olivia Gaines (Chester, SC/Chester HS) leading the way with 17. The guard also earned a double-double as she swiped a game high ten rebounds. Justin Taylor (Gastonia, NC/Ashbrook HS) finished up just behind Gaines as she scored 16 points, including three treys.

The Hurricanes will open up play at the Region X Tournament on Friday against an opponent still to be determined.
