Women's Soccer Defeated 3-0 at Nationals

MELBOURNE, FL – The #11 seeded Louisburg College women's soccer team was defeated 3-0 by the #2 seed, Paradise Valley CC, in opening round action at the 2012 NJCAA National Championship tournament.

Paradise Valley had a 2-0 lead after the first half and the two teams played a very even second frame with the Pumas extending their lead to 3-0 late in regulation. The Hurricanes only had a couple solid scoring chances but with the score close, LC was in the mix through the 90 minutes of play.

"Paradise Valley is a very solid team," said head coach Andy Stokes. "They outplayed us in this game. We have to bounce back and play our game tomorrow if we want to win and have a chance of moving on in the tournament."

The Hurricanes will return to the pitch in Melbourne tomorrow when they take on #7 Laramie County CC (Cheyenne, Wyoming) in pool B action. Opening whistle is scheduled for 11:30 am.
