WILMINGTON, NC — For the second straight day the #10 Lady Canes soccer team took to the field in Wilmington where they picked up another win knocking off Howard CC (Laurel, MD), 3-0, in nonconference action.

Sam Rowland (London, England/Welling School) led the Hurricane offense as she scored a pair of goals upping her early season total to four goals. Jessica Scales (Roanoke Rapids, NC/Roanoke Rapids HS) also found the back of the net for the second straight day as she scored the 'Canes other marker. The goal is Scales fifth in two games.

Allison Bell (Creedmoor, NC/South Granville HS) earned her second shutout of the season where she made eight total saves. In total, the Lady Canes outshout the Dragons 15-8.

The (2-0) Hurricanes will return home for their next match when they host the College of Southern Maryland at Ronald L. May Field next Saturday. Opening kick is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
