#10 Women's Soccer Dominates Wake Tech

LOUISBURG, NC — The #10 Lady Canes women's soccer team opened up conference play with a bang as they dumped Wake Tech CC, 10-0, Wednesday afternoon.

 

The LC dynamic duo of Sam Rowland (London, England/Welling School) and Jessica Scales (Roanoke Rapids, NC/Roanoke Rapids HS) continues to lead the way as Scales scored five goals while Rowland scored three in the conference win. Rowland also chipped in with three assists, which was equaled by Kim Olvera (Charlotte, NC/Rocky River HS) who also had a trio of helpers.

 

Kapritia Douglas (Smithfield, NC/Smithfield) and Alexis Godley (Whitsett, NC/Eastern Guilford HS) were the other goal scorers for the Hurricanes.

 

The 4-1, 1-0 in Region X, Hurricanes will play their first road conference game on Saturday when they travel to Allendale, SC to take on USC Salkehatchie. The Region X game is scheduled to start at noon.
