KINSTON, NC — The Lady Canes volleyball team travelled to Kinston to take on the Lancers of Lenoir CC in a Region X match, Wednesday night. Lenoir came out strong and knocked off the Canes in three straight games (25-18, 25-16, 25-18).

Louisburg libero, Ashley Johnson (Wilson, NC/Wilson Hunt HS) put in a solid effort as she made 17 total digs in the conference loss. Outside hitters, Kaitlyn Sitterson (Williamston, NC/South Creek HS) and Deborrah Bennett (Mt. Olive, NC/Southern Wayne HS) also helped out on the defensive side as they each made six digs a piece.

The 3-6, 3-5 in Region X, Lady Canes will play a pair of conference matches on Saturday when they take on Surry CC and Catawba Valley CC on the campus of CVCC.
