Former Hurricane Trendon Craig Named Starter for AAPB All-Star Game

LOUISBURG, N.C. — Former Louisburg College standout Trendon Craig has been selected as a starter for the East Division in the upcoming American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) All-Star Game, set for Tuesday, July 22 in Fargo, North Dakota.

Craig, now in his second season with the Kane County Cougars, continues to build on his impressive post-collegiate career. The outfielder is batting .317 with two home runs, 15 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and 38 runs scored for the defending American Association champions.

A 2021 NJCAA All-American during his time at Louisburg, Craig's combination of speed, power, and plate discipline has made him one of the most consistent performers in the MLB Partner League this season. His selection as an All-Star starter reflects the respect he's earned across the league.

"We couldn't be prouder of Trendon," said Louisburg College Head Coach Blake Herring. "He's continued to work, compete, and represent our program at the highest level. He's a great player and an even better person."
