Louisburg College Names Brice Garand Interim Head Coach for Volleyball and Softball
LOUISBURG, N.C. – Louisburg College Athletic Director Mike Holloman announced today that Brice Garand has been appointed interim head coach of the Hurricanes' volleyball and softball programs.
Garand served as the assistant Softball Coach for the Hurricanes during the 2024-25 season and was named associate head coach of volleyball earlier this year. She arrived at Louisburg with a proven track record of success at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, S.C., where she compiled a 86–56 record as head coach of the Softball program. A former FDTC student-athlete, Garand has excelled both on the field and in the classroom as a coach and mentor.
Her tenure at FDTC produced championship results and national recognition, including being named the 2024 NJCAA Division I Region 10 Coach of the Year and leading the program to the Region 10 Tournament Championship. Under her leadership, FDTC players earned:

Garand succeeds Eric Lee, who, ealrier this week, announced his resignation to spend more time with his family. During his tenure, Lee guided the Hurricanes to the Region 10 Championship in each of his seven seasons as head softball coach and led the program to the NJCAA Division II College World Series five times. His leadership established Louisburg College as one of the premier programs in the country, and the College is grateful for his lasting impact on student-athletes and the campus community.
