Hurricanes Break Game Open Early, Roll Past Lenoir CC 21–11

The Louisburg College baseball team continued its offensive surge on Wednesday afternoon, rolling past Lenoir Community College 21–11 in a high-scoring midweek matchup.

The Hurricanes wasted no time getting going, erupting for six runs in the second inning before adding 11 runs in the fourth to break the game wide open.

After falling behind 1–0 in the first inning, Louisburg answered in a big way. The Hurricanes capitalized on free passes and timely hitting to take control early and never looked back.

Big Inning Breaks It Open

The game turned decisively in the fourth inning when Louisburg sent 15 batters to the plate and plated 11 runs. The Hurricanes took advantage of walks, hit batters, and key hits to extend their lead into double digits.

Offensive Leaders

Louisburg finished with 11 hits and drew 9 walks, putting constant pressure on Lenoir's pitching staff.

  • Hayden Fones had a huge day, going 3-for-3 with 3 RBI

  • Clifton Olmedo scored four runs, added a triple and a home run, and drove in 2 RBI

  • Jace Dunn delivered a three-run home run and finished with 3 RBI

  • Camden Wilson added 2 RBI and reached base three times

  • Steven Laurence scored three runs and drove in another, reaching base four times

  • Brady Paul scored three runs and added an RBI

  • Graham Wike chipped in an RBI and two runs scored

The Hurricanes had production throughout the lineup, with nearly every starter contributing to the 21-run output.

On the Mound

Louisburg used a bullpen approach in the midweek contest.

Despite allowing 11 runs, Louisburg pitchers limited damage late and shut the door over the final two innings to secure the win.

Up Next

The Hurricanes hit the road this weekend for a three-game series against Cleveland Community College.

Game one is scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the second game at 4:00 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday, March 22 with a 12:00 p.m. first pitch.

Louisburg will look to carry its offensive momentum into conference play as the Hurricanes continue their road stretch.
