Louisburg, N.C. — The Louisburg College Esports program is proud to welcome Zachary Deemer (New Bern High School) to the Hurricanes roster as part of its Fall 2025 recruiting class. Deemer joins the Louisburg family following a standout season in which he claimed the 2025 North Carolina state championship in Fortnite.

A member of @nbhsesports / New Bern Bears, Deemer built a reputation around his precise aim, map awareness, and clutch play under pressure. Winning the state title against top competition across North Carolina underscores his drive and competitive temperament — traits that head coach Michael Statum believes will help elevate the Hurricanes' squad.

"Zach brings a mix of talent, focus, and creativity that fits perfectly with our team culture," said Coach Michael Statum. "We're thrilled to have him represent the Hurricanes this fall, and we can't wait to see him push himself and his teammates to new heights."

Deemer is expected to take the stage for Louisburg during the NJCAAE Fortnite season in Fall 2025 and contribute both in competition and team dynamics. His early success in the high school ranks gives the Hurricanes an edge as they seek to expand their presence in collegiate esports.
