Hurricanes Roll Past Camp CC, Improve to 3–0

LOUISBURG, N.C. – The Louisburg College men's basketball team stayed perfect on the season Saturday afternoon, dominating Camp Community College 96–73 at Roger G. Taylor Arena to move to 3–0 on the year.

The Hurricanes came out firing, racing to a 46–28 halftime lead behind a balanced scoring attack and crisp ball movement that overwhelmed the visiting Hurricanes from Camp CC. Louisburg shot 50% from the field and connected on 14 three-pointers, showcasing their offensive rhythm and depth.

Sophomore forward Nehemiah McDonald continued his hot start to the season with another standout performance, finishing with 21 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Freshman guard Isaiah Smith matched him with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, controlling the pace on both ends of the floor.

Jayde Braswell provided stability at the point with 15 points and three assists, while Robbie Knotts III filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds in another efficient showing. Off the bench, Julien Leveille added an instant spark, hitting all three of his attempts from deep to score 15 points in just 11 minutes.

Defensively, Louisburg's pressure forced 11 steals and held Camp to just 28 first-half points, setting the tone for a wire-to-wire victory.

"This group plays fast but smart," said Head Coach Bryan Bagwell. "We shared the ball, defended together, and had multiple guys step up. That's the brand of basketball we want to keep building."

Louisburg (3–0) will look to extend its unbeaten start when it hosts Wake Technical Community College on Tuesday, November 11, at 6:00 p.m. inside Roger G. Taylor Arena.
