McDonald Earns All-Region Honors; Hurricanes Advance in Region 10 Tournament
LOUISBURG, N.C. – Sophomore forward Nehemiah McDonald has been named All-Region 10 Third Team, capping off a standout 2025–26 campaign for the Louisburg College men's basketball program.
McDonald anchored the Hurricanes all season, starting all 29 games and averaging 16.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest while shooting nearly 50 percent (49.2%) from the field.

The Fayetteville native also led the team in total rebounds (220) and free throws made (138), consistently controlling the paint on both ends of the floor. In Region 10 play, he elevated his production even further, averaging 16.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game against conference competition.
McDonald saved one of his best performances for the postseason.
Hurricanes Rally Past Southwest Virginia in Opening Round
In Monday's Region 10 Tournament Opening Round matchup against Southwest Virginia, McDonald delivered a dominant effort, scoring 24 points and fueling a second-half comeback as the Hurricanes erased a double-digit deficit to secure a 98–92 victory at Roger G. Taylor Arena.
Louisburg trailed 47–38 at halftime and found themselves down 12 in the second half before storming back behind McDonald's interior scoring and clutch free-throw shooting. He scored 16 of his 24 points after the break, including key baskets in the final two minutes to help seal the win.
The Hurricanes outscored Southwest Virginia 60–45 in the second half, with McDonald's relentless work on the glass and physical play inside setting the tone.
The win improved Louisburg to 13–16 overall and extended their season into the Region 10 Quarterfinals.
