Hurricanes Golf Wraps Up Fall Play
SAVANNAH, GA – The Louisburg College golf team wrapped up their fall schedule as they finished play at the Savannah State University Tiger Fall Invitational, Sunday afternoon. The Hurricanes finished the two-day tournament in eighth place among the field of 13 teams.
After the first day of play at the Crosswinds Golf Course, the 'Canes were in seventh place overall with a team score of 328. Sumner Tate (Raleigh, NC) was the top finisher for LC in the first round as he hit the clubhouse with a score of 79, which was three shots better than Cal Addy (Newfield, NY) who finished at 82.
As a team the Hurricanes finished day-two four shots behind their day-one finish for a total of 332 and a two-day total of 660. Juan Fernandez (Panama City, Panama) had a better second round where he shot an 81 and finished tied for 38th at 164. Sumner Tate also finished at 164 with his day-two score of 85.
Cal Addy was next in for the 'Canes as he finished at 166 (82, 84), which was just ahead of Zach Robins (Southern Shores, NC) who shot 167 (85, 82). Ty Niday (Lexington, NC) rounded out the field for Louisburg as he finished with a 170 (84, 86).
