The Hurricane Golf team hosted the Hurricane UFO Dispute Medal Play Golf Tournament at The River Golf & Country Club on Friday, March 20.  In competition with 5 NJCAA teams from SC, NY, VA, and NC, the Hurricanes tied for fourth place.  The tournament was won by Spartanburg Methodist College with Patrick Henry CC placing second.  Devin Herring (Castalia, NC) placed 17^th, Evan Sauer (Raleigh, NC) placed 21^st, Patrick Yang (Maiden, NC) placed 26^th, Justin Stallings (Louisburg, NC) placed 27^th, and Chase Denton (Louisburg, NC) placed 32^nd out of 33 competitors.

On Saturday, March 21, the Hurricanes hosted the Hurricane Fusillade Challenge Modified Stableford Golf Tournament at The River in Bunn, NC where the golfers used a completely different scoring format.  In that tournament Louisburg College finished in a close fourth place in a tight competition.  The tournament was won by Patrick Henry CC, followed by Surry CC, and Onondaga CC in 3^rd place.  Devin Herring finished in 8^th place, Evan Sauer in 14^th, Patrick Yang in 16^th, Justin Stallings in 20^th, and Chase Denton in 22^nd place out of 24 competitors.

The Hurricane men's golf team will travel to Jacksonville, NC later this week to compete in the three rounds composing the 45^th Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Tournament with 30 other junior and senior colleges competing.  This prestigious tournament is open by invitation only to the best NCAA Division II and III (and all division NJCAA) golf teams in the nation.
