LOUISBURG, NC — The #2 Hurricanes men's soccer team picked up a weekend Region X win, Saturday afternoon, as they bested USC Lancaster, 7-0, at May Field.

LC forward, Adrian Gonzales (Fuquay Varina, NC/ Fuquay Varina HS) got the Canes on the board as he scored all four goals of the first half. Ramzey Hassan (Reston, VA/Gar-Field HS) scored the Hurricane's fifth goal which was followed by scores from Amardo Oakley (Lorton, VA/Mt. Vernon HS) and Rashid Mahdi (Dale City, VA/Osbourn Park HS).

Freshman keeper, Tony Groben (Chester, VA/Thomas Dale HS) earned the shutout where he made one save as the Canes outshout the Lancers 18-5.

The Hurricanes will quickly turn things around and host #9 Spartanburg Methodist College in another Region X game, tomorrow afternoon. Opening kick at May Field is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
