Hurricanes Complete Historic Regular Season at 9-0-1

LOUISBURG, N.C. — The Louisburg College men's soccer team wrapped up an undefeated regular season with a 9-0-1 record, capping one of the most dominant defensive campaigns in recent Hurricanes history. The team finished 7-0-1 in Region 10 play and will enter postseason play as one of the top contenders for the regional championship.

Louisburg was nearly flawless from start to finish, outscoring opponents 38–5 across ten matches while recording five shutouts. The Hurricanes averaged 3.8 goals per game and allowed just 0.5 goals per match, showcasing elite balance and consistency on both ends of the field.

Leading the attack was freshman Jaden Hilliard (Jacksonville, N.C.), who emerged as one of the region's premier goal scorers with 10 goals and 8 assists for a team-high 28 points. Sophomore Boni Salinas (Concord, N.C.) added 9 goals and 8 assists, giving Louisburg one of the most dynamic scoring duos in the NJCAA.

Freshman forward Eriya Ndinayo (Raleigh, N.C.) chipped in six goals, while sophomore midfielder Euan Russell (Maidenhead, England) contributed two goals and four assists to control play in the center of the field.

Defensively, the back line anchored by Andreas Florin Olsson (Skanör, Sweden), Joseph Lezama-Huerta (Rolesville, N.C.), and Diego Ortiz Enriquez (Chihuahua, Mexico) helped set the tone for a unit that held opponents to a mere .113 shot percentage on the season.

In goal, sophomore Hayden Michalak (Lexington, N.C.) was stellar, posting an 8-0-1 record with 44 saves, a 0.59 goals-against average, and four shutouts. Freshman Jack Haste (Chapel Hill, N.C.) added another clean sheet in limited action.

The Hurricanes' offense exploded early in the year with a 14–2 win over Carolina Christian, then rolled through the Region 10 schedule with key victories at Cape Fear (1–0), Richard Bland (4–1), and Wake Tech (2–1). The lone blemish came in the final match — a 0–0 draw against Patrick & Henry — preserving Louisburg's unbeaten mark heading into the postseason.

Louisburg finished the regular season averaging nearly four goals per game while limiting opponents to just five total across ten contests. The Hurricanes will now turn their attention to the Region 10 Tournament, where they'll host Patrick & Henry in the opening round on Wednesday.
