Louisburg College women's soccer took on USC Sumter at home on October 6. The Hurricanes won 9-0.

Collectively Louisubrg had 41 shots to USC Sumter's 5. Alexis Haymond had 5 shots on goal and scored on 4 of them. Giselle Soriano had 8 shots on goal that translated into two scores. Kayla Lorch had 4 shots on goal and 1 score. Alby Sofia Corono-Alvarez had 2 shots on goal and converted both.

Louisburg put three players in goal to combine for the shut out--Kathryn Robinson, Jasalyn Burton, and Ladenna Cornell.

"It was great to get a positive result in our most recent game. We're getting a little bit better everyday and always looking forward to the next opportunity," said Coach Chris Fresco.

The win takes the Hurricanes to 2-6-1. They travel to Pineville, NC to take on Johnson & Wales-Charlotte on October 14 at 5:00 pm.
