Men's Soccer Off to Nationals

SPARTANBURG, SC –The Louisburg College men's soccer team earned a Region 10 Championship, Sunday afternoon, with a 7-3 win over Spartanburg Methodist College. With the tournament win, the Hurricanes also earn a spot in the 2012 NJCAA National Championship Tournament.

LC dominated the game where Adrian Gonzales (Fuquay-Varina, NC), Hassan Kouyateh (Greensboro, NC) and Glen Muchedzi (Angier, NC) each scored two goals. Region 10 Player of the Year, Rene Legien (Hamelin, Germany) scored the other Louisburg goal in a game where the 'Canes outshout SMC 20-8.

The Hurricanes will now have a couple weeks to prepare for the National Championship in Albany, GA. The tournament will be hosted by Darton State College, November 12-17.
