Louisburg College volleyball picked up a key Region 10 victory on Thursday night, defeating Lenoir Community College 3–1 at home. The Hurricanes controlled the match with a strong service game and balanced offensive attack, moving to 1–0 in conference play.

Freshman Naomi Chester powered the offense, finishing with a team-high 19 kills on 50 swings while adding 7 digs and 2 service aces. Sophomore middle Ashia Teachy (Goldsboro, NC / Eastern Wayne) turned in a dominant two-way performance with 8 kills, 7 service aces, and 8 total blocks to anchor the net.

Freshman libero/defensive specialist Joella Estes (Holly Springs, NC) was a force in the back row, collecting a team-best 22 digs and 11 receptions. Sophomore libero Isabella Thigpen (Mooresville, NC) added 10 digs of her own to help steady the defense.

Freshman Valery Bravo (Miami, FL / Mater Lakes Academy) chipped in 6 kills, 9 digs, and 7 receptions, while sophomore setter Jayleen Barco Cruz (Spring Lake, NC / Overhills) kept the offense clicking with 12 assists and a team-high 9 service aces.

Freshman Savannah Miller (Walkertown, NC) provided 3 kills and 8 digs.

The Hurricanes controlled the match with energy from the service line and locked down defensively to secure the four-set victory.
