Jonathan Paulk

Jonathan Paulk enters his second season as the head volleyball coach at Louisburg College in 2019-2020. Paulk led the Hurricanes to an 8-4 region record and 4th place region finish in his first season at Louisburg, the highest finish in recent history for the program.

Paulk joined the Hurricane's athletic department with 2 years of Division I coaching experience at North Carolina Central University, where they made back to back MEAC Conference Tournament appearances. In his first season with the Lady Eagles, NCCU went 5-5 in the Southern Division, its best league record since 2012. 

Along with his collegiate coaching, Paulk co-founded Carolina Edge Volleyball in 2017 after having coached at NC Volleyball Academy the 3 prior years where he had been the head coach of the top 18s and 15s teams. 

Paulk also had stints as head coach of the NC State Men's Club Volleyball Team and Chapel Hill High School JV Team.

Paulk's playing career started at NC State in 2013 and he became the President of the Men's Club Volleyball Team in 2014. He led the team to 5th and 9th place finishes at the NCVF national championships garnering an All Tournament Honorable Mention award as a setter and team MVP in 2015. Paulk also won the NCSVA Collegiate Beach Volleyball National Championship in 2016 and the following day won a CBVA adult tournament to earn his AA rating.
